Payment Methods

Last Updated: September 2, 2026

Card statement descriptor: NEXA CARDS

At Nexa Cards, available payment methods are displayed securely during checkout. Payment availability may vary depending on the product, transaction currency, customer location, account, transaction characteristics, and availability of our payment service providers.

This page explains how payments, confirmations, transaction reviews, failed payments, refunds, and payment security are handled when purchasing digital products through Nexa Cards.

1. Available Payment Methods

The payment methods currently available for a specific purchase are displayed during checkout.

Availability may vary based on factors including:

  • Customer country or region.
  • Transaction currency.
  • Product purchased.
  • Order value.
  • Account or transaction characteristics.
  • Technical availability.
  • Payment-provider availability.

A payment method displayed for one transaction may not necessarily be available for every customer or future transaction.

Nexa Cards may add, remove, suspend, or change available payment methods where reasonably necessary.

2. Payment Authorization and Confirmation

Digital fulfillment generally begins only after the applicable payment has been successfully authorized or confirmed.

A payment may appear as:

  • Pending.
  • Authorized.
  • Processing.
  • Confirmed.
  • Failed.
  • Declined.
  • Cancelled.
  • Reversed.

Submitting payment does not by itself guarantee that an order has been accepted or fulfilled.

Certain transactions may require additional payment confirmation or security review before digital delivery is completed.

3. Payment Processing

Payments may be processed by independent third-party payment service providers.

Depending on the payment method and checkout configuration, payment information may be submitted directly to the applicable payment provider using its own payment infrastructure.

Nexa Cards may receive limited transaction information such as:

  • Payment status.
  • Transaction identifier.
  • Payment method type.
  • Card brand where applicable.
  • Masked payment information.
  • Country associated with the payment method.
  • Payment verification results.
  • Transaction risk information.

The exact information available to Nexa Cards depends on the payment method and provider used.

4. Payment Security

Nexa Cards uses payment and transaction-security measures designed to reduce unauthorized transactions, payment fraud, card testing, and other suspicious activity.

Depending on the transaction, additional security measures may be applied before fulfillment.

Customers should never send the following information through ordinary Nexa Cards customer support communications:

  • Full payment card numbers.
  • Card security codes.
  • Banking passwords.
  • One-time banking authentication codes.
  • Complete payment credentials.

For more information, review our Safety, Security & Fraud Prevention page.

5. Payment Verification and Transaction Review

Because Nexa Cards sells digital products that may become difficult or impossible to reverse after delivery, certain transactions may require additional review before fulfillment.

A review may consider factors such as:

  • Payment verification results.
  • Order amount.
  • Product type.
  • Customer account activity.
  • Transaction history.
  • Billing information.
  • IP address and approximate location.
  • Device or browser information.
  • Multiple or unusual payment attempts.
  • Information provided by payment or security providers.

A payment being placed under review does not necessarily mean that fraudulent activity has occurred.

6. Additional Customer Verification

Where reasonably necessary and permitted by applicable law, Nexa Cards may request additional information before approving an order for fulfillment.

This may be used to verify:

  • Payment authorization.
  • Account ownership.
  • Customer identity.
  • Billing information.
  • Transaction legitimacy.

Failure to complete a required verification may result in the transaction being delayed, cancelled, or refunded where appropriate.

7. Pending Payments

A pending payment has not necessarily been successfully completed.

Payments may remain pending because of:

  • Payment-provider processing.
  • Additional authentication requirements.
  • Bank or card-issuer processing.
  • Transaction security review.
  • Technical delays.

Digital delivery may be delayed until the payment reaches the required confirmed status.

8. Failed or Declined Payments

A payment may be declined or fail for reasons determined by the customer's bank, payment provider, card issuer, security systems, or other parties involved in processing the transaction.

Possible reasons may include:

  • Insufficient funds.
  • Incorrect payment information.
  • Failed authentication.
  • Payment-provider restrictions.
  • Card-issuer restrictions.
  • Transaction limits.
  • Security or fraud controls.
  • Technical processing issues.

Nexa Cards may not always receive the specific reason why an independent payment provider or financial institution declined a transaction.

9. Temporary Authorization Holds

In some cases, a bank or payment provider may display a temporary authorization or pending amount even when an order has not been completed.

A temporary authorization is not necessarily a completed charge.

The timing for releasing an authorization hold is generally determined by the customer's bank, card issuer, or payment service provider.

10. Duplicate Payments

If you believe you were charged more than once for the same Nexa Cards transaction, contact our support team.

We may review the relevant order and payment records to determine whether a duplicate completed payment occurred.

Where a duplicate payment is confirmed, the additional payment may be refunded in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy .

11. Currency and Conversion

The transaction currency and final amount payable will be displayed during checkout before the customer confirms the purchase.

Where a customer's payment account uses a different currency, their bank or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or currency-conversion fee.

Any exchange rate or fee applied independently by a bank, card issuer, or payment provider is outside Nexa Cards' direct control.

12. Additional Bank or Provider Charges

A customer's bank, payment provider, card issuer, or other financial service provider may independently apply fees in connection with a transaction.

These may include currency-conversion, international transaction, or other processing fees depending on the customer's payment provider and account.

Such independently imposed charges are not collected by Nexa Cards unless they are specifically displayed as part of the Nexa Cards checkout total.

13. Payment Confirmation and Digital Delivery

A successfully completed payment does not necessarily mean that digital delivery occurs at the exact same moment.

After payment confirmation, an order may still require:

  • Fraud screening.
  • Security verification.
  • Supplier processing.
  • Product availability confirmation.
  • Manual review.

For more information about fulfillment, review our Digital Delivery Policy .

14. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, Nexa Cards will normally attempt to return the applicable amount to the original payment method used for the transaction.

The time required for an approved refund to appear in a customer's account may depend on the payment provider, financial institution, or payment network involved.

For complete refund eligibility information, review our Refund & Cancellation Policy .

15. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If you experience a payment or order problem, we encourage you to contact Nexa Cards Support so that we can investigate the issue.

Customers retain any legitimate payment-dispute rights provided by applicable law and their payment provider.

Where a payment dispute is opened, Nexa Cards may provide relevant transaction, payment, account, communication, and fulfillment records to the applicable payment provider where permitted.

16. Customer Payment Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Using only payment methods they are authorized to use.
  • Providing accurate payment and billing information.
  • Completing any required payment authentication.
  • Reviewing the final order amount before payment.
  • Providing accurate contact and order information.
  • Not using Nexa Cards for unauthorized or fraudulent payments.

Additional customer and transaction rules are described in our Terms & Conditions.

17. Payment Method Changes

Nexa Cards does not guarantee permanent availability of any specific payment method.

Payment options may be added, removed, suspended, or restricted due to operational, technical, security, geographic, commercial, or payment-provider requirements.

The checkout page should be treated as the current source for payment methods available for a specific transaction.

18. Privacy and Payment Information

Information associated with payments is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy .

Independent payment providers may separately process information according to their own privacy policies, security standards, and legal obligations. For information about Nexa Cards' privacy practices, please review our Privacy Policy.
